RF Design Engineer Trainee
We are not hiring summer help - we are looking for a future RF engineer who wants to continue with a diploma thesis and grow into a permanent role.
Sensofusion is looking for an ambitious, hands-on RF design engineer trainee to join our
hardware team. This is a practical engineering role. We are looking for someone who can
operate between RF and electrical engineering.
What you’ll do
Design and simulate RF circuits and subsystems, including:
● High Power Amplifier Design
● RF filter design
● Mixer design
● RF circuit and layout design
● EM simulation and optimization
● Lab measurements and correlation between simulations and hardware
You will work closely with experienced RF engineers and take real responsibility from day one.
What we expect from you
● Final-stage MSc student or recent graduate in Microwave/RF Engineering (or EE/Space
Tech with RF minor)
● Strong hands-on interest in RF hardware.
● Experience with AWR / ADS, or similar RF tools
● Solid understanding of S-parameters, impedance matching, stability, gain, noise, and
signal chain analysis
● Familiarity with RF simulation workflows
● Familiarity with lab equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscopes
etc)
● Experience with KiCAD or similar and Git
You are willing to work from our headquarters in the Helsinki capital region. Remote work is not
possible.
As part of your application please include a short description of an RF system or subsystem you have designed:
● Design goals and frequency range
● Tools used
● Key technical challenges
● Simulation vs. measurement comparison (if available)
● Your exact role in the project
We are interested in how you think and solve problems.
